Congressman Divid Joyce Working With Obama on Gun Control?

Dear Fellow Patriot,

If ever there was a time for gun owners to charge up a hill together to reclaim the high ground from our anti-gun enemies and their sympathizers, it's right now.

But unfortunately, I've got some bad news in your area.

Congressman David Joyce is showing signs he'd be willing to "work with" President Obama to pass key parts of his anti-gun agenda.

More on that in a minute.

Now, sometimes folks assume that just because a politician is a Republican that he is a solid supporter of the Second Amendment.

I hope you don't make that mistake with David Joyce.

You see, you and I were just one or two votes in the U.S. Senate away from losing our right to keep and bear arms last year.

The 2013 debate over the Feinstein "Assault Weapons" ban and the Toomey-Manchin "Expanded Background Check" bill were the largest assaults on our Second Amendment rights in nearly twenty five years.

And it was weak-kneed Republicans who very nearly gave the green light to this key part of Barack Obama's anti-gun agenda.

Sixteen of them voted against the filibuster led by pro-gun U.S. Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee.

That anti-gun vote allowed the gun control debate to move forward in the U.S. Senate.

We very nearly lost that battle, and we're still playing defense today.

In the House, radical California gun-grabber Nancy Pelosi is foaming at the mouth to ram Obama's gun-grabbing agenda through any way she can.

To do that, Pelosi is counting on help from the Republican's liberal wing .

She'd love nothing more than to "work with" more weak-kneed Republicans – especially those who have a history of giving gun owners lip-service.

And believe me, some Republicans are eager to "sound reasonable" to the elite media by supporting an "expanded" or so-called "universal" background check (and gun registration) scheme.

Some are even working to funnel as many law-abiding Americans into the Brady National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) using "Mental Health" as an excuse to strip you of your gun rights -- for life -- without due process.

That's why it's so important that gun owners cut through the hype to find out where candidates for office really stand on your Second Amendment rights.

And that's why the National Association for Gun Rights surveys every candidate for federal office with very specific questions about your gun rights.

Now the good news is Republican candidate Matt Lynch has made it clear he won't put up with any anti-gun nonsense.

Lynch not only returned his National Association for Gun Rights Federal Candidate Survey 100% pro-gun, he's enthusiastically promised to do everything he can in Congress to:

*** Restore the Second Amendment rights of all Americans by working to abolish every unconstitutional federal gun law currently on the books;

*** Block all efforts by the federal government to further infringe on the gun rights of the people of the sovereign state of Ohio;

*** Stop any attempt by Barack Obama or Dianne Feinstein to reinstate the so-called "Assault Weapons Ban;"

*** Block a National Gun Registry. Matt Lynch will oppose each and every one of the gun-grabbers schemes to dump the names of gun owners into a national gun registry.

That's exactly the type of leadership gun owners need!

But the contrast between Matt Lynch and his primary opponent, David Joyce, couldn't be more stark.

David Joyce refused to return his National Association for Gun Rights candidate survey.

Worse, when President Obama began whipping support for his anti-gun task force early last year, David Joyce was one of the first Republicans to express his willingness to help.

As reported by the the Akron Beacon Journal, Congressman David Joyce said in an email:

"I look forward to learning more about the president's task force and working together . . . " 1

What is he thinking?

After holding politicians feet to the fire for twenty five years, I've found that when they cave this quickly to anti-gun schemes, it's a virtual certainty they'll vote anti-gun when the pressure is on and it really counts.

This raises serious questions.

What parts of last year's anti-gun "task force" is Congressman Joyce working with President Obama on?

What parts of Barack Obama's anti-gun agenda does Congressman Joyce actually support?

Would he support the "expanded" or so-called "universal" background check (aka gun registration) scheme?

Would Joyce support funneling more law-abiding Americans into the Brady National Instant Criminal Background Check (NICS) System, using "Mental Health" as an excuse to strip you of your gun rights -- for life -- without due process?

What about magazine limits, so-called "assault weapons" bans?

We don't know because David Joyce refused to answer these questions.

You and I both know that now is the best time to lobby politicians and hold them accountable for their voting records.

That's why I need freedom-loving Ohio residents like you to turn up the heat on Congressman David Joyce.
But there isn't much time.

Here's what you can do to help:

1.) Please thank Matt Lynch for pledging his 100% support and leadership for your right to keep and bear arms;

2.) Give Congressman David Joyce an earful! Insist he answer the National Association for Gun Rights Candidate Survey right away and apologize for working with President Obama on gun control right away.

With so much at stake, I'm really going above and beyond to make sure every person in Ohio who cares about the Second Amendment knows exactly where their candidates stand.

And I'm counting on good folks like you to help make that possible.

If you can, please consider chipping-in $10 or $20 to NAGR to help us inform more gun owners in Ohio about your candidates and elected officials views on your Second Amendment rights.

Please act today!
