Dear Connecticut Gun Owner,

I don't usually write letters like this.

But lately I have been so aghast at what has been happening in your state that I want to personally express my support for liberty loving patriots and gun owners like you in Connecticut.

And I'm not alone.

Each and every one of my staff members who have been taking your calls, responding to your emails, and reading your comments on Facebook and social media stand with you.

What Governor Dan Malloy and your state lawmakers have done to you is wrong. PERIOD.

If you aren't aware, the so-called "grace period" where Connecticut gun owners like you had an "opportunity" to register newly banned guns and magazines has come and gone.

Between 50,000 to 350,000 otherwise law-abiding Connecticut gun owners who didn't put their names on this government list are now committing a felony.

Even worse, bureaucrats are wasting no time in going after gun owners.

People suspected of owning either guns that now qualify as an assault weapon, or a standard capacity magazine, have received letters from the state police.

These letters give you four options:

*** Damage your gun so much that it will never work,

*** Sell your gun to an FFL,

*** Hide your gun in another state, or

*** Turn your gun into the state police for destruction

These letters went to residents of the Commonwealth who tried to lawfully register their banned guns and magazines but whose registration was "not postmarked by the deadline."

With 50,000 to 350,000 new felons in Connecticut there is one question on everyone's mind:

What are they going to do now, arrest everyone?

A recent viral YouTube video has many, including myself, very worried that it might come to that.

In it, Lt. Paul Vance, a spokesperson for the Connecticut State Police, called patriots "anti-American" for opposing gun confiscation and proclaimed that he -- the public servant -- is your "master".

I know that makes you mad.

He is just as wrong as the lawmakers, bureaucrats, and judges who have so far upheld this unconstitutional law.

But just because the gun-grabbers are wrong doesn't mean they won't try to enforce this anti-gun law to its fullest extent.

I cannot tell you what to do if you're faced with tough decisions when it comes to your natural and God-given rights.

But I can tell you, living in Colorado where anti-gunners also passed draconian anti-gun laws, that I've chosen to challenge my local gun-grabbing lawmakers at every turn.

And I hope you do so too.
