Dear Fellow Patriot,

With momentum clearly growing for passage of the SHUSH Act, Silencers Helping Us Save Hearing Act, gun grabbers are going all-out to KILL it.

That's why you and I must do everything we can to PASS it!

The SHUSH Act recognizes one simple truth: suppressors are nothing more than accessories. They are no different than a magazine or a scope, and should be treated as such.

Under current law, any hunter who wants to add a suppressor to his hunting rifle is forced to pay a $200 tax, get fingerprinted like a common criminal and wait nine months just to get approval!

Not only that, but he has to register the suppressor with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)!

So please sign your petition to your U.S. Representative and Senators urging them to cosponsor and vote to pass the SHUSH Act (S. 1505/H.R. 3139).

Pass the SHUSH Act!

Petition to My U.S. Representative and Senators

WHEREAS:    The "SHUSH Act" would remove suppressors from the list of highly regulated weapons under the 1934 National Firearms Act and treat them like any other accessory; and,

WHEREAS:    Under current law, individuals must pay a $200 tax, be fingerprinted, wait nine months for approval and register the suppressor with the BATFE; and,

WHEREAS:    Millions of Americans who hunt, target shoot, or test skills at the gun range deserve the opportunity to enhance their hearing protection with suppressors; and

WHEREAS:    Opponents cannot point to a single statistic to prove the claim that suppressors are used to commit crimes;

THEREFORE: As your constituent, I insist you cosponsor and vote to pass the SHUSH Act (S. 1505/H.R. 3139).
